The following is from John: Every winter the snow on our lake crusts over as the days grow longer. The crust is fun for all kinds of activities, notably the later March early April skate-skiing crust. When the kids were little, we enjoyed cutting out blocks of crusted snow and igloo-ing them into forts. We headed down the other day with this intention. However, we found more fun in the simple pleasure of cutting out big pieces in various shapes and stacking them on the lake. Our snow sculpture-garden is featured in the photos here.
Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the sunshine!
