The following is from Kim:
Wowser are we getting some great snow Up North! It started with President’s Day, where we received a foot and a half in most areas, and this week and weekend we will end up with another good foot plus! And it’s light and fluffy snow! Perfect for snowmobiling! Tony had the opportunity to go snowmobiling on some new sleds with our neighbor at Tait, Corey Anderson. They had a great day of sledding, and as we have always had older sleds, the new style of snowmobiles are much, much different than what Tony is accustomed to. And speaking of sledding, Cascade Lodge on Lake Superior (In between Grand Marais and Lutsen off Highway 61) is hosting the Lutsen Trailbreakers Snowmobile Club 3rd Annual Vintage Snowmobile Ride and Show where all kinds of folks bring their sleds of old days to show off in front of Cascade Lodge…then they head out for a ride. If the sleds make it, that is. I hear that they offer a prize to the sled that has the best breakdown! Sleds register/on display from 10-11:30 a.m., and they head out on the 20 mile ride at Noon on tomorrow, Saturday the 24th. Tony and I hope to make it to the show, these old sleds are awesome to see. And we will probably have a nice lunch at Cascade after! Hope to see you all Up North soon, have a great weekend everyone!
